Richmond Animal Control Accidentally Crashes Queer Dance Party ANIMAL
RICHMOND, Va.— Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) has issued a formal apology to queer dance party organizer ANIMAL after a bad tip led to a raid on the DJ collective’s party at a nightclub a couple of weeks ago. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. at Fallout, a downtown venue, involved dozens of RACC officers who were responding to intercepted Facebook chatter mentioning “Animal,” “out of control,” and “fucking insane.” “We are so, so sorry,” said RACC spokesperson Alan Thompson, “We didn’t realize they were talking about a dance party. However, we ended up staying and having a great time. They really nailed that setlist.” As of press time, both organizations had agreed that the issue had been resolved on the dance floor.
The Peedmont will be onsite at ANIMAL’s next event on March 20th at Strange Matter to report on any further incidents.
