Dad Is The Only One In Family Excited About Bluegrass Concert

LEXINGTON, Va. — With the weekend quickly approaching, the Connors family is very eagerly awaiting what will surely be the period’s highlight: a bluegrass concert at Sullivan’s Tavern in Roanoke, VA. However, not everyone in the clan is sharing the jubilant sentiments.

Reports are coming in that Bob Connors, husband of Julia Connors and father to Jessica, Dylan, and Tyler Connors, is the only one in the family really looking forward to seeing The Meadow Dusters, a popular bluegrass band from Bedford, VA.

“He’s been talking about this nonstop,” his wife Julia commented. “It’s no big deal to us, we’re happy to tag along with him, but I worry about how excited he is for this. He’s completely destroyed the calendar we have in the kitchen, tallying off each day approaching the weekend.”

Other members of his family expressed similar sentiments. Tyler, the youngest one of the bunch, spoke about the upcoming concert on Facebook: “Ugh, I can’t believe I have to spend my Saturday night listening to this shit. Will anyone be around to text me and help make the night go by quickly? Maybe I’ll luck out and it will be 21+ and I won’t be able to get in.”

Bob could not be reached for comment, but Julia offered assurance that everything should go back to normal after the concert.

“It’s just one night of listening to dull acoustic guitars playing the same song over and over again. I think we’ll all be alright. With any luck, I’ll be able to talk him into leaving early.”
