“I knew Jason liked to hang out at breweries on the weekends,” Osman explained, adding that he was confident his decision would definitely catch Edwards by surprise. “He’s a big craft beer guy. He regularly posts pictures of his beers on Instagram, so I bet he’s going to love this Gingerbread Stout.”
“I guess it’s a cool gesture,” Edwards stated, adding that this wasn’t the first time Osman had gotten some Hardywood’s finest for someone as a gift. “When he got Steve for Secret Santa last year, he got him a Gingerbread Stout, same with Karen the year before. And I’m pretty sure that he once got Rachel a gift card to Hardywood for her birthday, which happens to be the first week of December.”
Osman noted that he had also gotten bottles of Gingerbread Stout for many friends and relatives, including his brother, his stepmother, his ex-girlfriend, his Realtor, his 93-year-old grandmother, his neighbor, his neighbor’s 7-year-old daughter, and his pet Labrador retriever named Poncho.
At press time, other coworkers in the office revealed that they had also received bottles of Gingerbread Stout, Bourbon Barrel Gingerbread Stout, Double Barrel Gingerbread Stout, Rum Barrel Gingerbread Stout, Christmas Morning, Kentucky Christmas Morning, and vintage bottles of Gingerbread Stout from previous years from their respective Secret Santas.
