“Sure Is Humid Here, Huh?” Says Guy Who Just Fucking Got Here

RICHMOND, Va. — Bernie McGraw, just off the plane from Syracuse, New York, shocked no one yesterday with his assessment of Richmond weather.

“All I said was, ‘Sure is humid here, no?’ And I got all these looks,” exclaimed McGraw. “You’d have thought I was making fun of the Flying Squirrels or something.”

In town to visit relatives, McGraw admitted he figured it would be warm, but the mugginess caught him off guard. He says that a lifetime of living in Syracuse did not prepare him for the humid conditions of the River City. “Well, New York is a lot dryer. And cooler. Cool and dry,” McGraw commented.

Something else that took McGraw by surprise was how much people would loathe his remarks about the Richmond climate. While the weather was indeed humid, his reception was somewhat chilly.

“I thought Southerners were supposed to be all friendly and whatnot,” McGraw said. “Youse guys were kind of mean. One guy said he’s going to show me this thing called a Nikki Dee Ray. What the hell is a Nikki Dee Ray?”
